UK Funky sounds just like what was going on in the mid 90s in Chicago...Dance Mania, IHR, Contaminated, and plenty of others were dropping new stuff weekly that wasn't exactly innovative or detail oriented.

Often made on simple equipment in a short period of time. I guess its like fashion just get it out there, sell it and make the next release. But people seem to get really excited by it. All the kids love it as its pure party music. And then comparing that to the time spend creating a techno release with all its attention to design and detail and if I were to play that to the same people as above they would be like 'nope its boring'.
