A while back, Terrence Parker moved to Las Vegas for a couple of years, before moving back to the Detroit area. I never really talked to him about it, but from what I know about Vegas, I can't imagine it would be very hospitable to a deep house DJ, no matter how good they are.
Vegas seems like the kind of place where no one can imagine going out dancing without being drunk and/or high. I'm of the opinion that you can go out dancing instead of getting drunk or high -- it can serve the same purpose without the hangover or legal consequences...
