David,

Really respect where you are coming from on this. People often seem to post these days without having thought things through, an international list has language difficulties so I hope what I am saying is not as usual lost in translation. Perhaps a Dan Sicko quote (not Brian Cox #cough), rather than communication in modern western hieroglyphics or the esoterics of British shield designs, would help.

“Andromeda is a supergalaxy in the universe whose rays extend two billion times brighter and deeper than the light from the sun of our solar system. In the metagalactic cosmos, mighty Andromeda is the celestial, etheric heart in the great cosmic body of The Lord. Inside this magnificent superstructure of spiraling stars, the suffering and sorrows of humanity burn brightly and profusely everyday, and are deeply felt with the heart of The Dear Lord. At the coda point of this music, I can hear The Lord’s Voice as it spoke to me three years ago, saying ‘Do you feel like suffering for My love?’. I feel The Lord’s suffering within my being everyday.”

As an orientalist I feel it is important to distinguish your Poseidon from your Dragon Prince (Vietnam) and this mix will no doubt help meditate further texts on Egyptology, Atum and the vast wildernesses of space. I wouldn't give up hope just yet on vinyl, sometimes a good pressing comes to you. I would ramp up the minimal donation though somewhat Elon ;-). These days these kids think they're star wars if they know who han solo really is, but would kind of melt down if they actually got to talk to Joseph Campbell or a real professor.

I'm not a musician myself- frankly I can't afford no strativarious lessons and never could, but I will say this. If you are Irish and you want to make sounds like drexciya, you are better off putting down the cocaine-wash new release aquatic electro and heading to the giants causeway. Listen to those mf seals for a good few months and you might just start to understand somewhat something of what Stinson and Donald were talking about re: The Song of the Sea (DVD recommended btw).

I live a million miles from London, South of the River, and a few miles further from Austin, Texas but where I come from you really don't encourage a posse of white kids to try a black walk through the city centre unless there's a bit of peace and harmony. I find it is important to cough up for the records, for the music, but the last thing I want to do is make kids- those under 40- think that there's more to Star Wars than burning vader at the end of Return of the Jedi. Afterall, there's usually something else Sci-Fi to occupy the discerning mind if its not on TV for free at Christmas. A Scanner Darkly ladies and gentleman?

I agree with Denise, there is more to it than a spaf match over DJ Markie narrating for Drexciya.

Oh and btw, I also don't post much, but Denise- if you're ever in the UK maybe I can hook you up!! :-)

Folks,

I'm a techno musician at the end of the day, not just a music fan, at
the end of the day my job is to make music, and so I'm doing my best
to not only do great work, but start my own label. Here is the first
official release for Santos Y Diablos, "Return to Andromeda" a record
of ambient techno inspired by outer space, Sun Ra, and the ancient
egyptian pyramid texts. It was recorded in Detroit, Chicago, and
Austin between 2014-2018, in fact this record spans the period during
which I was homeless in Detroit. So it's a big deal for me to finally
put this record out into the world, even if I don't sell a single
copy.

You can stream it on bandcamp for free, and I hope some folks here
might find some enjoyment or spiritual nourishment from this music:

PS, the label Santos Y Diablos was converted over from my personal
bandcamp label, so it includes two avant-jazz solo piano albums on it
However, this is just due to a quirk of bandcamp.
In the future, I intend to release various forms of house and techno
with this label, with a heavy Detroit influence.

I would like to put out other talented artists and get them paid too.
However, right now I only have $300 and no way to pay my November
rent, so expanding to be a "real label" might take a while.
One day at a time...
