it might be a blessing in disguise, if current techno/house gets played out. we might see a whole new bunch of underground styles from the true innovators if techno gets flooded with a bunch of media hyupe.

i don't think it is related in any way other then the fact the music is
finally getting respect in the city where it was created. and i think what makes both completely related is DEMF. the city let something big like that
get pulled off and now the rest of Detroit is taking notice.  Thank
goodness.  just as long as radio doesn't overplay everything and completely
ruin it like it has in the past...
