1) Having heard the album in its _very_ early stages and knowing what
elements Stacey has injected into the album, I'm sure the album will be
brilliant.

2) As far as the 12" goes, it's a piece of dancefloor destruction - I've been
caning this for almost a year now (Stacey gave me a test pressing last
January) and it never fails to work the crowd. Substandard UK cheeze? Would
you call Carl's Paperclip People material that? "The Stand" (or "Sweat, for
that matter) is not that much different than "Floor".

3) FYI: "Polyphonic Destruction" was already two years old when Stacey gave
the track to Mr. C for the Subterrain compilation.

Boy I sense a new crop of purists showing up on this list these days...

<< I passed on the 12". I hope the album isn't more of the same, although from
Cyclone's reviews it sounds like it's better than that. I wouldn't really
rank it among the worst of UK cheeze though. I think he always manages to
incorporate something valuable even if it ends up a bit flat, or standard.
On that note, I really like his "Polyphonic Destruction" on The End. It's
not that new anymore, but it's recent enough that I still have hope for the
album.

I just question why he's gone the route he's chosen. Both his DJing and the
consistency of his musical output are suffering since he's attained status.
All IMHO of course.
