i agree, a crossfader is good for tricks but channel faders are very
accurate while mixing two or three records. of course tweaking the eq is the
other essential element. (a good ear and solid beat matching help provide
the smoothness of the mix too).

wait, are we talking about using levels vs. cross faders?
If so, I would strongly disagree, using the levels is far more precise, and
what to do if using three tables?
I find cross faders to be way inaccurate...
