this i guess would be more on the technical side...rather than philosophical. surely someone can answer. ...
in light of this discussion i was just playing around with doubles of a couple of daniel bell tracks and noticed that when the pitches were on perfectly the bass lines cut completely out, then on one track even the mids almost cut out completely and what was left was some cut up trebles. now i could understand (due to some physics knowledge) that if the doubles were done with inverse wave patterns they could cancel, but these are exact copies... hmm... just a fun little question. maybe someone can explain it... =) later danny
