I am a Detroit native and I find all this talk to be amusing. In fact so much that I haven't had the mental or typing energy to respond but I will now for the sake of money. YES the Atheneum is the MOST expensive place downtown. And even if it wasn't it would be for that weekend. There's the Ponchartrain on Jefferson that's kind of costly too I assume. But for the sake of my fellow music lovers, if there is anything I can do since I'm here to help in terms of researching places for you let me know. As a matter of fact when I go downtown this weekend I will take a look around and find some rates, places and locations and post it to the list. Everybody does not have a lot of money to travel and I want as many people as possible to make it here for the event. peace and love, Five
