This is a former Windsorite and 313 lister who had to get off the list some
time back because of some employer-monitored-mailbox issues. I've just
resubscribed though in advance of this year's DEMF after having such a good
time in Hart Plaza last year.
It so happens that I'm going to be in Detroit this weekend. A friends band,
the New Deal are playing at Clutch Cargos Friday. A couple of us are driving
down from Toronto to hang out in Windsor/Detroit til Sunday. Definitely
looking for entertainment the rest of the weekend. What's up? (what's up at
Motor???? haven't been since Richie's show last New Year's Eve...)
Some on the list might be interested in the New Deal. They're tagged as
"live progressive breakbeat house." The keyboard player is worth checking
out for his synth chops and collection of vintage
equipment....www.thenewdeal.ca I've seen them several times in Toronto and
always end up real sweaty.
