I hear you ... but I thought we were helping out a newbie of sorts.
I don't think that difference is as distinct to most people on some
of the earlier Detroit records.

The mood created by the piece evokes the future. Which to me is a
determinant of whether a sound can be called "techno" or not. It is
"lusher" than other pieces to be sure....but I'm still saying it's techno.
