Well if we look at acid house
it's the other way around.
(as house being 'everything will be oke')

I don't think time will devide techno from house
every music has something to do with past present future 
although techno has something special with time & place

for me techno must hold an 'electronic' sound 
I don't think strings of life is techno.
'play' by jeniffer lopez holds more electronic sounds.
