Wreckers of Civilisation is an essential read for anybody interested in
TG, or the origins of the industrial scene. Its pretty comprehensive....

Yep, the articles in this book do differ from the Industrial Culture
Handbook. its basically a set of interviews with TG (mostly GPO, perhaps
unfortunately), Burroughs and Bryon Gyson which draw parallels between
their work. Its quoted quite extensively in Wreckers of Civilisation,
but is defintely worth picking up in its own right, if only for the
previously unpublished Burroughs passages.

BTW, United is available on CD in lots of places besides the reissue of
2nd Annual Report - e.g., the TG Greatest Hits set, and the Rough Trade
anniversary compilation, off the top of my head. Along with Hot on the
Heels.. it seems to find its way onto a lot of compilations due to its
relative approachability...

Sean.
