I never had the pleasure of meeting Laura in person. I first got in touch with her back in 97 for some bookings to Istanbul. In the last five years, I learnt a lot from Laura through our phone and email traffic. Through other sources I realized she was one of the more important people in Detroit and was a tru believer of this music. I was also in the midst of doing business with her and was wondering why she didn't get back to me. When I read the posts on 313, something left my heart forever. Thank you Laura for all you have done for this music, the city of Detroit and the people around you. May God bless your heart.
