Yep. That's the reason I didn't get them!

I'm quite happy being strangled for 80

I know lots of people who swear by the 25sp's - being a complete malco
however I tend to find it pretty easy to pull the wires out / cups off

There is a cheaper version which I have,

Sennheiser HD-25SP

which are half the price. Again everything is replacable,
I've had them
2 years now and I use them ALL the time still work fine. I think
Sennheiser have some weird guarantee that new parts will be available
for up to 10 years from the day you bought them ?!

The only slightly annoying this about the SP's is wire

ears and they do tend to tangle a lot and start strangling you which
really starts to p*ss you off after a while.

One good thing is the weight - they're very light. I don't
find them too
'pinchy' on the ears.

Sennheiser HD-25 1's

They're incredibly loud and all the parts are replaceable

as well. They're

about 160 GBP, so I suppose about $210.

I recently scored a pair of the silver sony jobs [not sure

what the model

number is] they were about 100GBP I think
- I listened to them next to pair fo technics and they

clearly outclassed

the technics - the sonys show virtually no distortion at

really high vols.

I also find the sony's fit over my ears well wheres as many

others such as

technics and senheiser sit kind of on your ear which doesnt

isolate as

much

outside noise and isnt too comfy imo.

Hi, what would you consider to be the best headphones for
mixing in a club
as well as for home listening?

Suggestions/reviews very welcome!

Bye, Remco
