yeah the tascam looks like the sh!t - more features than u can shake what ya
mama gave ya at !
The parametric eqs sound interesting - the pots are doubled-up too I think.

I remember seeing those advertised - are they actually any good ? Id quite
like a fiddle on one, xfading bass and stuff must be quite wacky. 

On the gimmic mixer topic, I used one of those mixers with a kaospad built
in a while back - pretty cool alhough I think its too easy to spend x hrs
tinkering with effects :|
