Because it's far less interesting to listen to, IMHO.
The thing with Detroit techno was that you could enjoy it at the club *and* on your own terms. I can't say the same for your so-called "DJ Tools."
That being said, if you are, or aspire to be a DJ, those tracks make a lot more sense and can be quite enjoyable.
