I'm thinking of going to hear Surgeon DJ this w/e & was wondering what
peoples general opinion of him is.
Has he got the skills? I'm seem to remember his style is what my
mates call
'ARMS' (i.e quite hard!)
He's an excellent DJ. He does tend to play hard, but he's adventurous
and at times throws in surprises and older classics (I have a fond
memory of hearing him play LFO's "We're back" in the middle of a
tricky hard techno set)...
I am not that much that interested in 'banging' techno but i always try
to catch Surgeon if he is playing. He played in Holland a couple of
weeks ago and he was amazing.Playing really diverse records, a lot oof
minimal techno, some acid (Bam Bam's where your child :)) and even
electro and f*cked up acidic Aphex Twin records.
That night had the MurderCapital & Bunker DJ's spinning in the 2nd room
making my desires to clone myself come back again :)
