He also did some work for India Arie, i know he did some remixes but i am not sure if he actually did produce anything for her album. I thought that Al Primer Ano was some sort of a compilation album of his Yoruba records. His first 'true' album is Paradigm on SoulJazz. I read an interview with him where he said he worked for sesame street when he was 17. Osunlade has his roots in Nigeria, his name refers to an african god called Osun :)

I heard his El Primer Ano album recently (thank you Nicole) and I have to
agree - vocals and beat programming are excellent indeed

not that i know of particularly, but hey everyones gotta make a living
someway:)
production wise he is smoother than most jazzy house producers (ie MAW, as they tend to push limits more) his use of vocals and beat programming are
really on target.
check out www.setfoundation.com for one of his tracks done with nadirah
shakoor of the late arrested development

But is it true that he's appeared on or written music for Sesame Street? -
this is quite a persistent rumour.

osunlade lives in puerto rico but does most his production in NYC
his real name is frankie something (i always mix up feliciano and
valentine)
he did some production for Diamante, Soul Jazz, Central Park, Set and
remixed United Feature Organizaton and many others, i tend to agree that
you
will hear the B&S vibe. And his 6hr set at the end must be one to catch
for
the new line soulful jazzy electronic music with a latin twist, i can only
wish that i was in London to catch him...

have fun
Mehmet
