I have the Straight No Chaser issue with his interview on my coffee table
at home - I'll pull some info from it. He talks about his priesthood in the
Ifa religion and how it contributes to the music, etc. Great article that
turned me on to his music. First thing I bought was "Paradigm" - and I find
a way to work at least one track off of that every time I play a house set.
Props to SNC for doing what they do - it's one of the best music magazines
to ever come along.

He also did some work for India Arie, i know he did some remixes but i
am not sure if he actually did produce anything for her album. I
thought that Al Primer Ano was some sort of a compilation album of his
Yoruba records. His first 'true' album is Paradigm on SoulJazz. I read
an interview with him where he said he worked for sesame street when he
was 17. Osunlade has his roots in Nigeria, his name refers to an
african god called Osun :)
