Just to add to the other excellent suggestions, Sounds of the Universe on Broadwick Street (just around the corner from Berwick Street) is one of my favourite London record shops - great range of stock from jazz, funk, soul and disco to house, techno, electro and IDM, friendly staff, nice shop layout, good prices and an all-round pleasant experience...
