Didn't Frankie Knuckles win a Grammy for remixer of the year?
In the early 90's I remember it wasn't that unusual to see MAW, or
Tony Humphries hit the Billboard club charts, of course artist like Crystal
Waters crossed over to the pop charts.
There are still plenty of DJ's in clubland who play MAW, Naked music that
type of stuff (Juan Atkins) in comparison to Detroit techno like Robert Hood
or Jeff Mills.
I thought KDJ I Cant Kick This Feeling When It Hits, or Octave One
Blackwater, DJ Rolando Knights Of The Jaguar could have easily been
played on Top 40 radio.
