>I guess its his choice

exactly.

>I still would pay 15 bux to go see him

as would I

I think too many people expect too much from him or come to his shows with
expectations of what a Jeff Mills show is and then when he doesn't deliver
their preconceived notion they get in his face. I know it's happened
because he's mentioned it on his discussion board.

I don't think Detroit is "under" him - possibly he thinks it's behind him,
as in his past. Maybe there's bad memories - who the f*ck but Jeff Mills
and those whom he's told really know so people should just let the man be
and go see him where he *does* play.

and the high price on the limited 3x12" - well maybe he figures he has to
make his money NOW because maybe he figures who ever is going to buy it
will upload it to soulseek or what ever file share they are using and then
everyone will have it for free.

its his loss at this point. maybe he's afraid he cant compete with the new
talents coming out of detroit now. maybe detroits under him. I guess its
his choice, theres more gig opportunity than there is mills to go around

even tho he still plays the same records as 3 years ago, I still would pay
15 bux to go see him if he could stomach a night in detroit :)
