he won't pop off in the states. At least not with the mainstream hip-hop
community. Hip-hop is about the words, and most people don't hae the
capacity for hearing and understanding people with accents (don't ask me-
my brain isn't even programmed to remember the words to Beastie Boys
songs.)

on an off-off-topic note, did anyone watch the history of jamaican music
on bravo last night? i though it was going to be all marly this andmarly
that- but they actually got to his death with out about 45 minutes left
and then tracked through the whole 80s/90s dancehall thing.

i think of this only because they had to subtitle all of the interviews
due to the heavy patios.
