TITLE: GALACTIC ASS CREATURES FROM URANUS

FORMAT: 2 x CD / 2 x 12"
CAT. NO.: PFRCD11 / PFRLP11
RELEASE DATE: 26th APRIL 2004

The seminal electro-funk outfit from Detroit returns with a second album.
'Galactic Ass Creatures From Uranus' spans a full variety of minimal techno,
dirty P-Funk, raw hip-smart booty beats and downbeat electronic grooves -
all spiced-up with a healthy portion of humour, cartoon sexuality and the
search for the perfect booty. As ever the vocoder-pitched vocals by Paris
The Black Fu and the other odd characters mark their distinctive signature
sound.

Founded in 1998, the Pubahs group around producer and vocalist Paris The
Black Fu and his forked personalities. Their first single, 'Sandwiches',
became a huge worldwide club hit overnight and made it into the Billboard
dance charts as well as in the UK Top20 sales charts. The album 'Funk All
Y'all' was released in 2001 on the now defunct Jive Electro imprint. Since
then, the Pubahs completed a world tour and started working on 'Galactic Ass
Creatures From Uranus'.

Again the new album is brimful of straight forward booty tracks, raw Funk
and weird skits, but this time relaxed downbeat electronic grooves enrich
the Pubah's sound cosmos and make the 'Galactic Ass Creatures From Uranus' a
state of the art electronic album whilst of course being great fun to listen
to.

Smoothly starting with 'Landing in Detroit', the second track 'God
Impostors' makes a pure funk statement, before the emotional Electro track
'Surrender' leads over to 'Big Onion'. 'If you like the way I drop my funk:
just shake it!' Next up is the darker side of the album with 'Definition of
Sick' and 'Dead Presidents', before the epic 'Tig O' Bake Fitties' lays out
a downtempo funk ode to natural body parts. The beautifully gentle lounger
'Bite The Pillow Talk' lets you take breath for some more punchy booty beats
on 'Freak' and 'Weed in the Kitchen'. 'The Clapper' picks up on the sleeve
design and reports from another alien intrusion in that typical Detroit
Grand Pubahs style. After already introducing Dick Cannon ('Bite the Pillow
Talk', 'Training With Dick Cannon') Bill Crosby ('Weed In The Kitchen') and
Dirty Elvis DePorno ('Freak') amongst Paris The Black Fu we also meet Nurse
Hurse again, a character that was initially involved on the debut album.
Finally, the hypnotising 'Novacane' sets a speech by Malcolm X to music.

The first 12" outtake (The Clapper feat. Jesper Dahlback remix, pfr38) from
the album has already stirred quite a buzz and made it into many club charts
including the official German Dance charts. The next single 'Big Onion'
(feat. Joakim remix, pfr43) will be released in March and will come with a
video. The most prominent guest musicians involved in the album are Scott
Sumner (engineering) and Randall G. Lynch (guitar) who are regular studio
musicians for George Clinton.

The album release will be supported by an extended European tour starting in
late February in Dublin. Paris The Black Fu is also organising a Funk Stage
on the 10 Days Off festival in Belgium in July.
