I'm afraid it's pointless Martin ... I've pointed out the same thing again and again and again, and no one does anything. They just can't be arsed to select all the old replies in their followup and press <Delete> to remove them - it's just too hard for them to do, apparently. Even though we ALL know that when you read a message that consists of the reply at the very top (a non-sequitur - replies should come *after* the text you're replying to) and alllllllll of the previous 23 messages in the thread below that, *NO ONE READS ANY OF THOSE PREVIOUS 23 MESSAGES THAT GOT INCLUDED* because the poster couldn't be arsed to select all the old text and delete it.
Personally, I used to like Usenet software that rejected posts with more lines of included text than new text. Draconian, perhaps - but it at least made you think about what you were posting, and it made you whittle down the old text, like it or not! - Greg
