you want bad - you should have heard the track aquaviva played at twilo in
new york, before richie hawtin. a big, big guitar solo over a 4/4 beat.
and to make it worse it was being played on one of the loudest sound
systems in the world. that was a very big dancefloor to clear.
on the positive side, love his labels definitive and plus 8.

Hmm. What's wrong with it?
Eddie Grant - dreadlocked reggae musician- sporting synths and drum
machine at the high in the mix out of nowhere in 1982 (or whenever it
was.) It's notable and not cheesy at all. The lyrics hint about the
(then) oppressiveness and inner-city blight that Electric Avenue is not
a million miles away from even today. Also check 'Livin' On The
Frontline'. I don't even like the tracks enough to own them but I don't
think they're as bad as all that.
