i can't help but think it's a little unfair to say things are ripoffs of
MA (they might share a love for old electronic disco and have come to a
similar sound independently :) ). something in the vein of MA that you
might want to check out is this:
Justus Köhncke - 2 After 909 (Kompakt)
i think he has a new 12 out that sounds promising too from the clips
(actually just checked discogs and realised he's had a few thing out
after the above 12)

Well an obvious (and in my opinion not a very good imitation) is Pustch 69
(or is it 79? Whatever). Nice enough but far too busy productions and don't
sound as atmospheric and haunting as ME. You know what? I can't remember a
single Pustch trackbut I can remember at least 3 ME/Environ ones.

In the meantime, MA's sound was jacked by myriad
producers for so-called "original productions" and bootlegs abounded.
Curious to know if anyone can name and shame some of these!
Plus, are there any decent Metro Area rip-offs out there?
Kerrier District springs to mind, but it struck me as a respectful homage,
rather than a rip-off.
