I have a claude young mix tape from 8 or 9 years ago, and it was all
smooth.
He didn't really do much cut up or scratching at all...
I think having the opportunity to see Claude Young spin live would be
awsome. Unfortunatley he doesn't make his way out to San Diego much...that
is one good reason for me to move back to Detroit, right?
Peace
Jeff

>I've heard him play several times - even witnessed his nose
mixing - but it just doesn't move me - as I said, I want to hear a
record properly without loads of crap going on on top of it -
maybe if I was a DJ, I would feel differently
i normally agree with that perspective on deejaying, but i found
claude's mixing to be one of the few exceptions to that rule of
mine. i did think what he did was 90% of the time interesting and
added to the music. most people that try that nonsense are too
heavy handed or too whimsical. he was neither. whats that "horses
for courses" phrase?
