In a way it may be for the best the way the vote has gone. It could have been a bit of a poison chalice for the democrats, considering the mess the US economy has been left in and the situation in Iraq. Four more years might be just what it takes to wake some people up in a real and meaningful way ! Still extremely depressing though.... Eamonn / D1
