Well Mandrill are a funny one - certainly a mixed bag, but when they get into a good groove they are heavy! The track 'Fencewalk' springs to mind...

If you're after the original vinyl of the first EWF album, it is around at the moment - on Warner + there was a UK reissue on Pickwick which I guess was probably put out in response to their late seventies popularity in the UK with the white socked soulboy massive. The Pickwick issue has a really ugly cover unfortunatley.

Just discovered Osmium and it might be one of Parliament's best albums by far (and God knows they're usually ace) ; found a couple of Rotary Connection tracks and this definitely goes straight to the shopping basket. I have a record by Mandrill, wasn't too enthusiastic about it but I need to listen to it again. EW&F - it's hard to find their earlier (good) stuff, usually it's just crappy collections.
