I've also stayed in an apartment with friends a few times and highly recommend it. You get the equipped kitchen etc for less than a hotel room. But last year they also switched to "high season pricing" with 20-30% extra to regular prices. Check the google with some appropriate search words..it's still a better deal than hotels.
