Unfortunately, I hear very little 313 type music in Chicago.  What techno there 
is here, usually is not of the deeper or 313 oriented variety.

So, as a Chicago resident, it doesn't surprise me at all that Shake hasn't 
played here.  It may be that Chicago DJ's are too territorial, or that the 
house/techno divide has grown too big, or that in booking out of town artists 
only "big names" are considered, but I just rarely see any of the Detroit 
locals who are great coming into Chicago to spin.  Though lately I've noticed 
some slight improvement, in fact there seems to be a slight upswing of techno 
events generally.

Now what we really need is a Chicago UR night, that would be so hot if some UR 
crew would do a show here... we're so geographically close!
