Unfortunately, I hear very little 313 type music in Chicago. What techno there is here, usually is not of the deeper or 313 oriented variety.
So, as a Chicago resident, it doesn't surprise me at all that Shake hasn't played here. It may be that Chicago DJ's are too territorial, or that the house/techno divide has grown too big, or that in booking out of town artists only "big names" are considered, but I just rarely see any of the Detroit locals who are great coming into Chicago to spin. Though lately I've noticed some slight improvement, in fact there seems to be a slight upswing of techno events generally. Now what we really need is a Chicago UR night, that would be so hot if some UR crew would do a show here... we're so geographically close! ~David ---------- Original Message ------------- Subject: RE: (313) Shake, Titonton, and H&S hit Chicago Date: Fri, 22 Apr 2005 16:21:56 -0400 From: "Stoddard, Kamal" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, 313@hyperreal.org You gotta be kidding me!?
