It's pretty easy to extract a beatless loop of the melody line from the original mix of jaguar; a small amount of slicing is required but I managed to do it (and therefore anybody with basic motor skills can). It's handy for ableton sets. It keymatches with charlie webster's mix of 'Cafe de flore' by herbert. Always gets the heads smiling, does that one.
Given that CC's using fs2 these days it's not inconceivable that he did something like this (although he probably just got himself a hold of the masters and made his own deluxe dub). >>> "Güclüer, Hansi" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 08/29/05 8:30 PM >>> Hello! I know Mad Mike's version and that's not what C2 played in Uppsala, Sweden, a couple of years ago. I think it's Carl´s own version -the beat never starts and the riff is doubled by some sort of bass sound, and the melody repeats forever, right? -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: Klaas-Jan Jongsma [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Skickat: må 2005-08-29 11:10 Till: Simon Vrebos Kopia: 313@hyperreal.org Ämne: Re: (313) Carl Craig in Belgium (track ID) On Monday, August 29, 2005, at 11:06AM, Simon Vrebos <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Carl Craig played an absolute impressive set at the 'Pukkelpop' festival in Belgium a week ago. I haven't heard a set like that in years! (you really don't hear Detroit techno in Belgium -> people are more into hard loops which is really sad). Anyway, he played Jaguar by Rolando like he did before. It's the beatless version and lasts maybe ten minutes (I presume). Which one is it? Is it out on vinyl or is it CC's private CDR? Sounds like the Reprise version from Mad Mike. It is on the 430West remix EP KJ
