Just to satisfy my curiosity, what is the Electronic Music/Dance Scene like in Brazil? Do you get American DJs down much, and how are they received? Is there much awareness of Detroit Techno as distinguished from other northern hemisphere dance music?
My knowledge of Brazilian Music is basically Villa-Lobos (Heitor, not Ricardo!) Black Orpheus 60's Bossa Nova -- Jobim, the Gilbertos, etc 70's Jazz/Funk -- Airto, Banda Black Rio, Milton Nasciemento, Gilberto Gil
