check Rhythmism.com for party listings..
usual haunts: Apt on thursdays, Tonic + Cafe Deville on Fridays, Sullivan Room on Saturdays...

other places for records:
Etherea [Ave A]
DanceTracks [E. 3rd]
Halcyon [of course]
Bleecker Bob's for used stuff [W. 3rd]
Other Music for used / new [not a whole lot in the Detroit vibe, but their 'house' section is basically just Theo / KDJ / etc.] Rock & Soul [W. 34th + 7th Ave] .. good for all of the disco / Paradise Garage / loft classic represses

let me know if you want some option for lounging, food, etc.

Thanks to everyone for all the New York advice.

I really appreciate it.

Now is there anything happening club-wise on 25th or 26th of November in NYC?

Hi all,

I will find myself in New York at the end of November. Can anyone recommend a good area of the city to stay in? (or even better a good reasonably priced hotel :) ).

Also any good record shops I should be wasting money in?

thanks!
