all i know is that he cant have it both ways. he cant be mr "i created NYC techno in a vacuum" while also being mr "i am the best deejay of all time ive been doing it since day 1 and have every record since the day they came out". if he was indeed on top of things, he was influenced by detroit since they invented it. even if he was listening to the chicago end of things, those guys were playing detroit records too. tom
