Yes,
It was Club Pegasus and unfortunately I'm told hip-hop is much more
prevalent these days.  I also played at a spot called Rojam.  While that set
was more techy the DJ after me came in with a long drum roll and started
jumping up and down and waving his arms like 'let's pump it up...'

Kevin and Richie has played there before as well.

I have been there a couple of times for work. I have not found any record 
shops. The clubs there do not play techno maybe some house music. I think 
Mike Grant, Laurent Garnier might have played there before but i do not 
remember which clubs are they.

It is just dodgy pubs for tourists but not for music purveryors in Shanghai.

There might be an underground music scene there but i have not got in touch 
with like minded people there yet.
