also JT, if you want an example of "doing it right" by these small genres, look to Mo Wax in the summer of 00. they wanted to represent ghetto tech and miami bass, but they didnt go out and find some white hipsters to make a joke out of it. instead they got DJ Assault and Magic Mike to drop LPs:
