Riots aren't common but drama is.

Just look at Ritchie's track record: his Kompressed party got totally busted
before it even happened with police following him and his crew around for
days; his performance in Louisville never happened since the police decided
to crash the party; and in Chicago I got to firsthand witness some Rodney
King-style beatdowns with police trying to bring order to a mass of tripping
kids who were kept out in the cold for hours.

Incidents like these have made me appreciate commercial venues such as Motor
and Science despite their commercial nature strictly due to their stability.
But now that the Detroit press has made an effort to expose them as drug
havens, looks like not even the legal clubs are safe from uncalled for
drama.

Subject: (313) hawtin in perth

The latest stop in the hawtin tour was last night here in perth, along
with a whole bunch of other people I'm not interested in (aheh... like
Adam Freeland).

Man, it f*ckin rocked... absolutely no mercy from hawtin, just
continuously funky records, mostly hard stuff, along with the
occasional electro, german house (Brinkmann!), and 909 workout.
The crowd loved it. Sweaty as hell in there, too. I finally heard the
sandwiches track as well ("I know you wanna do it"). :)

I'm glad there weren't any major hassles like riots and such stuff...
is that common in the US???? What's the story?

Dave
