funsters how do artists release records that contain samples without paying the copyright owners? i was just looking through the sample pages at forcefield and i'd be surprised if kdj paid to use samples of chic, ewf, george benson, sister sledge, or marvin gaye, or if theo parrish paid the last poets and sly stone, well, his estate anyway. i'm sure the authorised use of these samples would be way too expensive for small labels.
