Ok, I though that might be the case.
Sometimes a record is pressed really really hot and you need to crank up the weight on the needle (for pressing downward) to counteract the grooves pushing back on the needle.i.e., crank it up much more than the recommended balanced + suggested tracking force.
I've played a lot with that and got some improvement. I love the track, that's why this is a little annoying. robin...
