Kraftwerk were in costume and ready to perform when Fritz was
attended to by a doctor on site at Global Gathering Melbourne.
Fritz had symptoms which lead the doctor to believe he might be
prone to have a heart attack or stroke.
As a precautionary measure he was taken to the Alfred hospital for
further examination.
Under these circumstances we have to think of the artist's state
of health first and this was seen as a necessary measure to
prevent these symptoms from developing further.
He was discharged at approximately 12pm on Sunday.
He then travelled to Perth and performed at Global Gathering to
thousands of adoring fans.
