2) [28/02/09]
Clean install beta on second partition.
kdelibs-data 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu1~hardy1.1
kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu1~hardy1.1
01/03/09: 64studio30alphabeta snd_ice1712 "nv"
boot: add: vga=791 acpi=off noapic

Beta kernel shows marked improvements when compared
Setting boot options and verbose.
The desktop is tuned stable, hungry for a project.
No graphics binary drivers installed.

The kernel is working well on my system also.
The System-base is sound. A real pleasure to use.
Just as you say, "More power without overclocking".

2.6.29-1-mm-686
Re: 2.6.26-1-mm-686 ('rm 2.6.28-rt & 2.6.29-rt kernels')
Cleaned up a bit... I think played a major part.
Removing and cleaning has worked. 2builds 1 change.

Re: kernel package upgrade issue.
It's tempting to say remove and reinstall the kernel.
I would just reinstall again if this failed.
It's good to have a repair kernel when testing ,
2.6.26-1-mm-686 has worked for me.
AlphaBeta testing:
The beta and kernel are working fine. We've had,
The change from etch to hardy,
newer hardware - software etc., New kernel.
It's good to see more installs happening
and fixes on the go.
The new kernel should sit nicely in 3.0.

Cheers!
dave.
