Yes, there is still a couple of things to do to get to 3.0 release up to steam. Regarding the kernel, I have also noticed a regression in the latest testing kernel, and we are trying to find the final kernel. More info: All the system info you can give us. There is always a way to fix it, if you are willing to give a bit of your time, and look though the forums regarding the issues. The kernel install issue is known, and will be fixed.
