Okay, for an audio mixer there are questions like - if the > whole mixer can't be displayed, is it better to have scroll bars or > buttons to hide the EQ, the AUX sends etc.? > > Cinelerra is more complex, because it is a whole video studio. btw and also half OT.... The original author of Cinelerra wasn't really cooperative, seemingly he's not really willing to communicate with an community. The Cinelerra community on the other hand very actively responded and contributed into what now is a separate spin-off project called "Lumeira", see http://lumiera.org You are right, the questions how to organize the UI for an application targeted editing in the context of professional / independent film making are challenging. Of course, we've advanced by several steps but are far from anything an end user could try out. If interrested, you could e.g. have a glance at http://www.pipapo.org/pipawiki/Lumiera/TimelineNotes Cheers, Hermann _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
