The coders can't have all the hardware, but some users might have the same hardware and so they maybe can check out if a bug really has to do with the hardware or if it's just a handling error. A labyrinth of links from bug report to bug report can be obviated too, if there will be some special forums for RCs/testings and that before the stable version of a distro is released.
