Yes, we users are evil if we don't know everything about Linux for most distros ;), but on this list it's allowed not to know everything :). I don't know, but I guess you have to use a 32bit version, maybe there are modules for the 64bit bus that aren't compatible, if you try the 64bit version, also I don't know about the CPU features.
