The current version of the standard, IEEE 802.15.4-2006 does not address layer 3 issues. (Clearly, it couldn't reference RFC 4944, which was published in 2007.) It's the other way around: RFC 4944 references IEEE 802.15.4, and one corrigenda that has been proposed is for 4944 to reference IEEE 802.15.4-2006 and not IEEE 802.15.4-2003. > I can't find the 802.15.4-2011 document.
