Indeed. Yoann should have done this in his native French and encouraged
others to assist with a more "traditional" translation into English. But
it seems to me that the boat has sailed and AI cannot be uninvented,
perhaps thankfully because otherwise we'd have to be dragged kicking and
screaming into a world where electronic computing does eliminate drudgery.
Should we not be focusing [ss?] on 1. Preventing the elite from
appropriating AI technology and denying it to the plebs; 2. Adding
quality and morality to the use of AI and 3. Identifying where AI should
NOT be applied (and how to enforce that)? We have the 18th century
industrial revolution as example and 21st century education and
communication as tools to retain and enhance rather than eliminate what
we sense as "good" in humanity, only to allow a minute minority of
greedy freaks to snatch it all from us and replace it with an Orwellian
dystopia. And we are doing it to ourselves...
Lucio, a believer that Luddites are still the victims of a bad rap.
PS: we are creating God (again!) in our image. And once again we are
allowing the worst trait to be reflected in It. Is that the best 8
billion people can produce?
