I'm saddened the promotion of dehumanization machines here.

The companies behind AI are trying to build an economy where if
you try to make your own decisions, you would be outcompeted by
someone who has outsourced their brain. And, of course, since
intelligence and labor would no longer be scarce resources that
humans can use as leverage, having an automated drone gun you
down if you protest wouldn't really matter to anyone important.

People say that LLMs aren't sufficiently capable to get us
there. I think that's likely accurate, but there's a great
deal of research going towards the next breakthroughs. How
much are you willing to bet that all future attempts will fail?

That's in addition to the effects on the environment, which was
already precarious. Now we've decided we don't care at all,
and are building gas pipelines directly to data centers.

AI output is written in the blood of future generations. I
think this is only somewhat overly dramatic.

The tech industry is trying very hard to build an ugly future.
These companies need to lose their social license to operate.
